Visitors

On the weekend of Jan 31 - Feb 1, a family from Quebec visited our club. This young couple included their baby and toddler, pulling them around the 11 and 15 km trails in a special sleigh. Read what they had to say about their visit.

"Hello Wasi Club,

We came from Québec for a weekend stay. Some people from the Canadian Ecology Center told us to come here for X-country skiing. They said: "it is the best place around, particularly for family." They were right! It is a very wonderful skiing place. The trails are so nice, just the right level of skills when you have to pull two kids in a sleigh. Thanks for your hospitality and . . . long life to the Wasi Club!

Caroline, Léa, Maurane & Frédérik
Ciao!"

And here is a recent email sent to Mogens:

Subject: Great Trails!!!

Wasi Club: This week our party of four, from the Owen Sound area spend three days skiing the North Bay area. We found out about your trails from a link on the North Bay Nordic web site. Your trails are some of the best designed trails we have skied. Keep up the good work. We hope to return later in the season to enjoy your trails again.

Let it snow! (but not too much) Glen & Wendy Girard, Richard & Susan Barnes

And from March 12, 2003

We skied WASI again today; I did the 15 km and Sharon did the 6 km. With the fresh powder, the fresh grooming (the Club's groomer is to be complimented) and the beautiful sunshine today, we had some of the most pleasant and memorable skiing imaginable.

I have skied over 1000 km this winter at a wide range of centres (Hardwood, Highlands, Mansfield, Haliburton and the Canadian Ski Marathon) but your WASI ranks way up there. The 15 km is a perfect energizer loop.

I only wish I had a facility 15 minutes from home (Guelph) like you folks in North Bay. I hope the club safeguards your treasure.

Please pass on my comments to the club.
